Tried the tart + pomegranite with gummi bears and boba pearls. Yes, I'm a grown up. Anyway it was delicious. Their flavors are all better than most froyo places. Their topping selection is vast. My wife loved the salted caramel froyo with brownie bits and mini turtle candies. The staff was helpful and happy to provide samples. Definitely our new go-to for froyo.

Can't get enough! They do a great job of rotating flavors seasonally to keep a good mix of flavors going. Great variety of toppings. Yogurtland opened nearby however they definitely are not as good as SkinnySweet.

I love skinnysweet! Went in there one day while I was on my break from work across the street. Very clean and tons of great flavors to chose from. I love the toppings in the dispensers too! I live closer to red mango but now I will drive to skinnysweet because I keep craving it! The flavors just seem to taste better than the other fro yo places I've been to! I've taken some coworkers there and now we all keep talking about going there on our breaks. Can't wait to come again. My new fav place to go!! My favorite flavors are candy bar smash and cake batter, a must to try!

My siblings, fiancé, and I visit here so often and we are never disappointed! The staff is always pleasant, the environment is always clean, and the fro-yo is always delicious!

The employees are nice! The place itself is clean. The flavors are delicious and there are a ton of toppings to choose from!

As avid Froyo connoisseurs, my girlfriend and I are always on the lookout for delicious places. We have quickly fallen in love with Skinnysweet, frequenting at least one of their establishments in the area weekly. Ignoring the somewhat strange name, the selection of flavors is excellent, with a nice balance between their signature and new flavors. As a huge fan of the cake batter flavor, I'm pleased to see that it is almost always available. The toppings are numerous, and most importantly always fresh - some Froyo joints don't seem to understand that topping freshness plays just as much (if not more of) a role in customer experience and satisfaction than the number of flavors (or toppings) offered. Hours are great and staff is always friendly and willing to let you sample as many flavors as you want. I'd highly recommend Skinnysweet to anyone looking for good Froyo.

Holy flavors batman it's toppings galore. Its clean, its bright, I think Barbie was their interior decorator. Self serve, not self sample...but their very helpful friendly staff was readily available to assist me. They have 14 flavors, all of which were pretty unique and not just variations of basic vanilla and chocolate. I sampled flavors like Kona coffee, that packed a super intense coffee flavored punch, I was not a fan. Another flavor called Coco Carmel something that was so rich and creamy I forgot it way frozen yogurt. Their Key Lime Pie, Cake Batter and a Chocolate Thin Mint were good. I always sample before filling up, especially if its my first time...or if I just want to try something new. And I'm glad I did, because I really thought I would like the Kona coffee but it was not my cup of tea OR joe. I ended up creating my own key lime pie concoction with key lime froyo, topped with fresh kiwi and graham cracker crumbs. It was da bomb diggitty.

Note: try the salted caramel, you won't regret it. Actually, go for the cinnamon & salted caramel. Amazing! It has really cute decor and really great frozen yogurt. I enjoyed nearly my entire cup, til I found a hair in it (that was my sign to stop). If not for the hair, this froyo place would have received a 5 star rating!

The self serve frozen yogurt craze is definitely hitting the Chicago land area with a vengeance. The new comer to the scene is Skinny Sweet. I had a Groupon the allowed me $10 worth of froyo. Now that seems like a lot but froyo isn't cheap. Skinny sweet's will run 45 cents/ounce which is fairly comparable to other locations. I would have to say that Skinny Sweet has the best interior and aesthetics of any other frozen yogurt shop I've been to...and I've been to quite a few. They have some really cool hot pink and white light fixtures that adorn the seating area. They also have a cool area where some cereals and other small candies (think fruity pebbles and nerds) are dispensed from huge cylinders. The topping selection is pretty extensive (they have mochi!!). Samples of their flavors are freely offered and it looks like they change out their yogurt flavors on a daily/weekly basis. What I really liked was that the yogurt dispensers had 2 flavors paired together so you could have the option of getting both swirl style. I ended up getting the strawberry/green apple swirl. I also loaded on way too many toppings because by the time I was done, I was starting to feel ill (loved the brownie bites but looking back, it probably be suited better on a cake batter flavor and not sour green apple/strawberry). The employees were very attentive offering up samples and making sure that the seating area as well as topping areas were clean and tidy. If I am in the area, I will definitely stop by again.

LOVE this place! The flavors are amazing and the best I've ever had! Salted caramel, chocolate, and cake batter are my family's favorites. So many different flavors to try though, will need to explore more. Super clean, friendly staff, great atmosphere, and the best frozen yogurt you will ever taste! Skinny Sweet, we love you!

I'm kid free for 30 minutes and where do I go? Skinny Sweet! It's 10 degrees out and I still am eating ice cream! Excuse me....yogurt! This is how much I like it! I have only been here twice but I already feel an addiction coming on. Lots of favors to choose from... And you can request to taste some or all! Tonight... cake batter with brownie bites on top for me. For my husband...espresso de leche and praline with Heath bar on top. Great, relaxed and quirky atmosphere. Only bad thing is I am not sure they have bags for when you take it home and the containers don't stack easily on top of each other. I almost dropped my frozen yogurt! I would have cried like my 2 year old! :)

Great. Just what I needed- another temptation on my drive home from work every day! ;) Wow- this place is fantastic. I appreciated the other reviews with the recommendations of the salted caramel frozen yogurt- I couldn't believe how delicious it was! They have about ten options of frozen yogurt, and you can sample as many as you want before you decide (although I did not master how to get the yogurt out of those little tiny sample cups). I ended up having half caramel and half Belgian chocolate, while my husband had half cherry half chocolate. I also sampled the cookies and cream which was excellent! So hard to choose. What I thought was super clever is that you can use graham crackers as bowl dividers- this is a great idea if you want half chocolate with candy toppings and half fruit flavor with fruit toppings- I don't like my flavors touching so this is a great idea in my book. :) I thought the people working were very friendly and helpful, and they kept cleaning everything throughout our short visit- very impressive. They have a ton of toppings! More than I've seen anywhere. Many cereals, creative candy toppings (including chocolate caramel tiny turtles that were cute but I overdid them), cookies, brownie bites, nuts, a great variety of fruit, sprinkles, sauces, whipped cream, etc. The seating and decor are cute. This is a really fun place. Be careful- we had a Groupon that covered $10 and for two people we overspent the Groupon by about $2 with so many toppings. :) Enjoy!

I'm afraid I'm a favorite - love their tart and whatever sorbet they have together. Very clean taste - simple and satisfying. I can't comment on the other flavors. It is clean - bright - friendly. Tastes great. I've taken many people there and they are sold as well.

Place is great! Self serve, pay by the ounce. Reasonably priced, but can be dangerous if you're indecisive and hungry! I'll be back for sure! Try the salted caramel and cake batter with caption crunch on top! Holy wow!

Fun place to go; unique decorations; interesting lighting; healthy-ish; lots of variety in tastes and flavors; delicious! I loved the Popping Boba - two varieties for toppings! A little goes a long way in satisfaction! Tastes are permitted before choices; the staff is friendly. Plus it's a nice place to sit and talk with friends.

My husband, myself and my parents visited Skinnysweet for the first time today. My Mom and I are very big fans of Red Mango frozen yogurt so we had a certain level of expectation. The staff was super friendly, and helpful. The yogurt flavors offer a large enough selection to please just about anyone. The toppings bar was very clean and very well stocked and we came in during a high traffic time. Let me just take a minute to talk about the toppings. Not only do they have an insane amount of options, everything looked really good. I opted for mostly fruit, kiwi, strawberries, blackberries and some coconut flakes. All the berries were perfectly ripe. I only had one blackberry that was super tart, but not unpleasantly so, otherwise the rest of the fruit was perfect. For sweets lovers, they had tons of candy bar and candy toppings as well as cereal which was kind of net. They even have Sour Patch kids and Good n' Plenty, for people who would rather have candy over chocolate. Very nice variety if you are looking for a more indulgent treat. I think Red Mango's frozen yogurt has a nicer consistency and texture, Skinnysweet melted really fast and was very runny almost immediately but it still tasted really good! My husband and I opted to bring a good portion of ours home and we just tried them, they do not carry over to home freezer well. The consistency is icy and the flavor completely lost. Overall, we had a very nice experience and I do think I would go back just because it is closer to home than Red Mango. If I am being honest though, I would rather go to Red Mango because I do think their yogurt is a lot nicer and has a better texture. If you are looking for a nice treat to please a group, this is the way to go. This would be fun to do with friends!

So glad to have a frozen yogurt place close by. Although I wish I could make the trip to yogli mogli every time I want frozen yogurt, I still love this place. (I like their tart yogurt better) Regardless of my being picky about my tart frozen yogurt, I give this place 5 stars over all for having a crazy amount of options. I never know exactly what I want so I take a little of everything! They have a blueberry acai flavor yogurt and mmmmmm it is so delicious I actually want some right this second....self control...self control... Going to skinny sweet is the right choice!

A little bit in love with this place. I feel like the self-serve froyo movement is just starting to creep up to the Chicago area (the first time I had seen it was in Chattanooga). Skinnysweet has more flavors and toppings than the other place in the area. The location is convenient (much more so than Yogli Mogli which is now off a major construction area), the store is bright, clean, and inviting, and the staff is really nice.

I love this place! So glad that one has finally opened near me. It's your friendly self-serve yogurt place, lots of cool favors and toppings. Cute atmosphere and its family owned which is awesome, inside and outside seating. Well priced too, not ridiculously expensive as long as you watch the toppings.

Frozen yogurt in January? Yes. I was having a massive ice cream craving. I was early for an appointment down the road so I was driving up and down Roosevelt looking for something to satisfy my craving. I don't know HOW I managed to spot this little gem in the strip mall but I'm glad I did. I was the ONLY one in the store at 4:30pm on a Tuesday. The girl there was helpful but thankfully because of other experiences I knew how the process worked. I was *trying* to try little dallops of several flavors but ended up with 10+oz of yogurt and toppings. I tried Belgium Chocolate, Cake Batter, Vanilla, and a Blackberry flavor if I remember right. I was intentionally trying flavors that I thought would go well with my new favorite thing in the world: boba balls. I don't know what these things are really but they are like flavored bubble wrap for your mouth. I love them. I picked strawberries and strawberry boba balls to top the yogurt. I'm wishing I had more now... I would have stayed there to munch, the shop was so cute but I was needing to be on my way. I would definitely stop in again and I'm glad I know where they are!

Great layout inside, well lit, and very clean! The employee helping me with sampling the yogurt was very friendly and didn't mind that my friend and I wanted to try several different favors. Very reasonably priced , I signed up for the loyalty and look forward to coming back.

This is a wonderful place to enjoy frozen yogurt. The flavor combinations include recipes to create your own unique flavors. Yum! The yogurt is real smooth and not as icy as it is at other shops.

Holy cow! So many amazing flavors and toppings! Delicious and always fills my taste buds! The only thing is it is pricey, 10$ for myself and the girl I nanny!

CAN I RATE THEM HIGHER THAN 5? OMG - I'm in Chicago and outlying areas visiting 2 high school girlfriends I haven't seen in 20 years. . . . .They opted to take me to their ABSOLUTE favorite place "Skinnysweet". . . . Very personable help made me feel like they were thrilled that I came in for my visit. Decor was wonderful and so nice and clean. . . . Me being a "California girl" and also believing myself to be the ultimate connoisseur of frozen yogurt and "Cali" being the ultimate place for this delectable frozen treat - I was in shock and awe whence' I came upon an absolute frozen sensation! So many flavors and soooo many toppings - How do we choose?????? YIKES! The Cake Batter was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G, the Hawaiian Pineapple (like a day in the tropics). . . . . . . . that Salted Caramel (the best - don't ever take it out tee hee) D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S and the best Vanilla & Chocolate I've ever had! Ok. . . .The truth be known I've dropped by "Skinny's 2 days in a row . . Alas, I must return to "Cali" tomorrow. . . . . Have you ever thought of opening up "our way?" Hope to be back and taste your new, new creations soon. . . . Best wishes & thanks again, Ann P

The best frozen yogurt out there! I love frozen yogurt and as most people see there are many frozen yogurt places popping up all over the place.. I guess frozen yogurt is like all the hamburger joints popping up, there's too many and sooner or later some will go away. Don't let this place go! Skinnysweet is my favorite out of all of them! Like the others they offer many different flavors a day, with lots and lots of topping but I'll tell you that their frozen yogurt is the best tasting! They offer a great selection. Some of my favorites are the Salted Caramel, the Chocolate Thin Mint, Cake Batter, Blackberry, I can go on and on. It's wonderfully smooth and creamy. So good! This is not a franchise this is a small family owned business with wonderful, helpful staff and the decor is very nice too.

Very attractive to the eye, and awesome service to go with it. You have to try the sea salt and carmel, it's the perfect blend! Tons of toppings to choose from and the kids love it!

We loooooove skinnysweet! My husband and I are there on a weekly basis, sometimes more. The yogurt and toppings are delicious, the flavors are inventive, the store is clean, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. We love it!

Stopped in there today with my mom and we had the salty caramel. It was too delicious! I can't wait until I'm back in the area again because I am a lifelong skinnysweet fan.

Tons of flavors and toppings, bright and clean interior, friendly staff. The sea salt caramel was fantastic. My wife had the pomegranate raspberry and it was deliciously tart. Will definitely be back to try more!

SkinnySweet is very similar to every other DIY FroYo place I've tried. There were minimal differences I observed: a) SkinnySweet seems to have more toppings available, mostly in the candy variety (though the fruit looked nice too) b) it's a little cramped, especially near the toppings/register because of the extra wall with dispensers that divides the aisle c) the girl working near the dispensers got us samples instead of us doing it ourselves (slightly awkward) The flavors I tried were good (oatmeal cookie and salted caramel), and there were some fun toppings for sure, including red velvet cake chunks. The store was pretty clean and there was a decent amount of seating inside. It seems like there isn't much that sets SkinnySweet apart from Yogurtland or Cocomero, but they're all good for a sweet do-it-yourself treat when the urge hits.

  • S H.

Came here after reading the reviews but I wasn't impressed. The flavors were all so sweet and the toppings were mostly candy or sweet options. Wish they had more fruit toppings as well as more tart flavored yogurts. I also didn't like how the employee took out sample cups from her apron pocket. Who knows how dirty it gets.

    (3)
  • Okasana M.

Went there only about 5-6 flavors to choose from and they didn't even seem that appealing. Was immediately turned off by the lack of options put my empty bowl back and left. Went to oberweis instead!! So good!

First off I'm a huge fan of fro yo so I know what's up. This is like every other fro yo place in that they have numerous flavors and let you try whatever flavors you want to sample. The fro yo flavors here are really good. They have a great selection of toppings. They also give you 20% off if you have a College of Dupage student ID so that's a bonus.

  • Melissa G.

I love Skinny Sweet. I don't live in the area, but stop by when I get the chance. It is always so clean inside! The fruits are always fresh and the topping selections are endless! I love the popping boba! The young ladies who run the register are always very friendly and helpful. They never mind giving you a sample of a flavor you may want to try. Although I'm a boring one and almost always choose vanilla, the flavors change all the time so there is always something new to try. And it may sound silly...but I love their spoons too! :) the fun light fixtures and modern style tables and chairs set a very neat mood in this wonderful establishment. I highly recommend stopping by and checking them out!

Love. Love. Love. This place. It's super clean. Priced well. They don't close crazy early so that's a plus too. Ugh. Now I want some now. I do feel like because they cups are SO big I always put to much it.
